2 min readThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, released in 2011, continues to be a popular game among PC gamers due to the vast array of mods available. One such modpack, Nolvus, is set to receive an update in 2024, aiming to give Skyrim a next-generation look.
The creator of the Nolvus modpack announced that version 6 (V6) will be released in 2024. This new version will focus on enhancing the graphics of Skyrim, allowing players to enjoy the game with improved visuals.
Although Skyrim may not have the smoothest animations or the best pop-in, it can still look impressive for a 13-year-old game. The modder released a video showcasing the potential of Nolvus V6, giving fans an idea of what to expect.
While there is no specific release date for Nolvus V6, fans can download the previous version (version 5) which includes over 2000 mods. Some of these mods offer complex parallax features and next-generation MCO combat.
For those interested in specific mods, there are several options available. For instance, the Call of Duty Mod adds 12 new weapons from the popular shooter franchise. Another mod adds over 7000 voiced lines via AI, while another adds The Witcher 3 Ciri/Geralt Voices. There is also a mod that adds destructible objects to the game and one that adds unlimited dynamic light sources.
There are also several fan expansions for Skyrim, such as Wyrmstooth, which adds new quests and dungeons. Another mod brings elements from The Witcher games into Skyrim. Dragon Hall Tavern is a huge 2GB mod that adds quests, new places, an arena, and more. Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis, and Legacy of the Dragonborn are other popular expansions.
