Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – February 14th Patch Released and Detailed

4 min read

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the highly anticipated open-world action game developed by Rocksteady Studios, received its first major patch on February 14th. The update aimed to address several bugs and issues that have been plaguing players since the game’s launch.

The patch primarily focused on resolving a bug that caused Burning damage to scale with both player damage buffs and enemy debuffs. This issue resulted in Burning damage dealing excessive damage, and the patch corrected it so that Burning damage only scales with enemy debuffs.

Another issue addressed in the patch was Toyman’s ability to stack multiple of the same Augment on gear. This exploit allowed players to gain an unfair advantage, and the patch fixed it to ensure fair gameplay for all players.

Additionally, the patch resolved an issue that prevented modifications to Augments on gear from saving after exiting a multiplayer session and joining a single-player session. This issue caused frustration for many players, and the patch addressed it to ensure that players’ progress is saved correctly.

Furthermore, enemies at Mastery level 46 and above will now deal more damage. This change was made to keep the game challenging, as some players had reached a point where they were no longer being challenged by the enemies.

The patch also included some changes to Heat Wave’s Molten Skin and The Turtle’s Shell abilities. The damage reduction for these abilities has been reduced from 100% to 90%. This change was made to ensure that enemies can deal some damage to players, making the game more balanced.

Vehicle kills during Gizmo’s Support Squad missions no longer grant XP. This change was made to prevent players from exploiting certain mission mechanics to gain extra XP. However, players are still awarded XP for mission completion.

Finally, the patch created new Leaderboards in the interest of fairness. With the fix coming to Burning damage scaling and hearing the concerns around hitting a wall when climbing Mastery levels, enemies at Mastery level 46 and above now have reduced health scaling. This change was made to ensure that players are challenged but not overwhelmed.

Rocksteady has acknowledged the game’s performance issues and is working on optimizations for those using weaker CPUs. However, this patch does not include any performance improvements or stability tweaks.

The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League community on Steam has dropped to 2K, which is not a good sign for a GaaS game. There is still no word on when the Offline Mode will be released.
