PlayStation Plus January 2024 Free Games Announced: Resident Evil 2 Remake, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and More
1 min readIn January 2024, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a number of free games as part of their subscription. The headline titles for this month are the Resident Evil 2 remake and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. These games will be available to claim on January 16 for both PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
The Resident Evil 2 remake is a visually stunning update of the classic 1998 game. While it retains the core gameplay elements, it is virtually unrecognizable from the original, thanks to Capcom’s RE Engine. In her 2018 preview, Engadget’s Jessica Conditt noted that the game feels like a contemporary title.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a spin-off from the Borderlands series, which takes one of the franchise’s most memorable NPCs and drops players into a genre-blending fantasy world. This game features magic, guns, and chaotic instant revisions to the game world, as well as star-studded voice work from Andy Samberg, Wanda Sykes, and Will Arnett.
Other free games for January 2024 include Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Lego City Undercover, Just Cause 3, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, and Surviving the Aftermath.
Additionally, classic (retro) titles will be available for subscribers, including the Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection, Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana, Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, and Rally Cross. These games will also be available to claim on January 16.
