Oppo Find X7 Ultra: The First Phone with Two Periscope Zoom Cameras at CES 2024
2 min readThe Oppo Find X7 Ultra, unveiled at CES 2024, is a groundbreaking smartphone that sets a new standard in mobile photography. This device boasts an impressive HyperTone Camera System, featuring four Hasselblad cameras with the same 50-megapixel resolution. The main camera is equipped with a large 1-inch sensor, an f/1.8 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS), while the ultra-wide camera has a 1/1.95-inch sensor and an f/2.0 aperture.
What truly sets the Oppo Find X7 Ultra apart is its dual periscope telephoto cameras. The first one offers a 3x optical zoom, a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an f/2.6 aperture, and a 65mm focal length. The second periscope camera delivers a 6x optical zoom, a 1/2.51-inch sensor, an f/4.3 aperture, and a 135mm focal length. With AI-enhanced zoom, the Find X7 Ultra covers a versatile equivalent focal length range of 14mm to 270mm.
Oppo has made significant strides in mobile photography with the HyperTone Image Engine, which improves computational photography results for HDR and avoids over-exposure and over-sharpening. This technology, developed in collaboration with professional photographers and color experts, aims to merge objective quality with subjective emotional experiences.
The Find X7 Ultra also offers a Hasselblad Portrait Mode, which delivers cinematic bokeh with foreground and background depth, and minimal shutter lag. Additionally, there’s a new Hasselblad Master Mode, which allows users to adjust saturation, contrast, sharpness, and vignette control to create their preferred style.
The Oppo Find X7 Ultra comes in three color options: Ocean Blue, Sepia Brown, and Tailored Black, all featuring a vegan leather cover. Despite its extra features, such as a 5,000mah battery and wireless charging support, the device maintains a similar weight and thickness as the Find X6 Pro.
The Find X7 Ultra is currently only available for pre-order in China, with prices ranging from 5,999 yuan to 6,999 yuan. For those on a budget, there’s the Find X7 base model, which features a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor, triple cameras, and a slightly smaller 6.78-inch OLED screen. The Find X7 starts from 3,999 yuan and offers 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, while the top-tier model maxes out at 4,999 yuan for 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
