At CES 2024, NVIDIA introduced the RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, and RTX 4070 Super GPUs as upgrades to its previous models. These new GPUs aim to compete directly with AMD’s cheaper high-end cards. The RTX 4080 Super will be available for $999 starting January 31, while the RTX 4070 Ti Super will sell for $799 from January 24th. NVIDIA’s new offerings provide alternatives to the expensive RTX 4080 and RTX 4090, with the mid-range RTX 4070 Super being the most attractive option for many buyers, priced at $599 and set to launch on January 17.

NVIDIA has not yet disclosed the full specifications for these cards, but the RTX 4080 Super is claimed to be twice as fast as the 3080 Ti in games with DLSS 3 Frame Generation. Leaked information suggests it will have 10,240 CUDA cores and faster clock speeds, as well as 23 Gbps memory. The RTX 4070 Ti will receive a significant memory upgrade, with 16GB instead of 12GB on the previous model, bringing it closer to the 20GB VRAM of the Radeon 7900 XT. The RTX 4070 will feature 20% more cores than the original model, making it “faster than an RTX 3090 at a fraction of the power,” according to NVIDIA.

Stay tuned for live coverage from CES 2024 in Las Vegas from January 6-12 for the latest news from the show.
