Modder Releases Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0

2 min read

Modder HalkHogan has released a significant update to their “Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project” mod, following the game’s 2.0 update and the addition of the Phantom Liberty expansion. This latest version, referred to as 2.0, is an enhancement of the original mod that was launched in March. The goal of the mod is to enhance the game’s visuals by improving the quality of its original textures, while still maintaining the game’s vanilla art style and ensuring optimal PC performance.

The mod is now compatible with the current version of the game, thanks to the 2.0 update and the deployment of the Phantom Liberty expansion. CD Projekt Red had temporarily disabled mods during these releases to avoid any potential issues.

In a video showcasing the mod, HalkHogan demonstrates the fresh improvements made to textures that were previously reworked in the mod’s previous edition, as well as some that were untouched. While there are still some lower-resolution textures that have not been covered in the 2.0 version of the mod, HalkHogan mentioned in a post announcing the update that they do not plan to release any further versions in the near future, making 2.0 the final version of the mod.

Interestingly, HalkHogan also revealed that they will be shifting their focus to working on a HD rework of the next-gen version of The Witcher 3. It is worth noting that HalkHogan’s HD rework for the original version of The Witcher 3 was included in CD Projekt Red’s next-gen update for the game.

For players interested in diving back into Night City and exploring Dogtown with enhanced visuals, the Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0 mod is available for download.
