LG Debuts First Wireless Transparent OLED TV at CES 2024
1 min readAt the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, LG unveiled an innovative new product, the OLED T, which is the world’s first wireless transparent OLED TV. This groundbreaking television boasts 4K resolution and LG’s wireless video and audio transmission technology. The 77-inch OLED T features a contrast screen that can be raised or lowered with the press of a button, and it comes with LG’s new Alpha 11 AI processor, which offers four times the performance of the previous-generation chip.
The OLED T is compatible with LG’s Zero Connect Box, which was introduced with the M3 OLED last year. This box wirelessly transmits video and audio to the TV, allowing users to connect all their streaming devices and game consoles to it instead of the television itself. The OLED T’s base houses down-firing speakers and some other components, as well as backlights that can be turned on for a fully-transparent look. LG plans to sell the OLED TV in 2024, but has not yet announced pricing.
In addition to the OLED T, Samsung also announced a transparent TV at CES 2024, which is a Micro OLED version. While it looks bright and sharp, no information has been released regarding its availability or cost. LG’s Senior News Editor, Billy Steele, reported live from CES 2024, providing coverage of the latest news from the show.
