Kevin Porter Jr.’s Ex-Girlfriend Denies Assault Claims

2 min read

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Kysre Gondrezick, the former girlfriend of Kevin Porter Jr., spoke out against the assault claims made against the former Houston Rockets guard. Gondrezick clarified that Porter did not hit her during the alleged fight at a New York City hotel last month, which resulted in his arrest.

“He never balled his fists up and hit me,” Gondrezick stated emphatically. “And he definitely didn’t punch me in the face numerous times. That is a lie. I don’t have any injuries to support that.”

Porter was initially charged with multiple felonies, including assault and strangulation, following the alleged incident. However, Manhattan prosecutors dropped one of the assault charges on Monday after acknowledging that Porter did not fracture Gondrezick’s neck vertebrae.

Despite the dropped charge, Porter still faces charges of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault, to which he has pleaded not guilty. Following the recent trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources have indicated that the team plans to waive him.

Shortly after the alleged attack, a police spokesperson confirmed that Gondrezick had sustained a laceration to the right side of her face and was complaining about pain to her neck. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Gondrezick expressed her frustration with the prosecutors, claiming that they released details of her injuries without waiting to interview her. “It happened very fast, not to the degree of what was reported,” she explained. “And it was an argument that occurred in the room for not even 10 seconds.”

As Porter continues to maintain his innocence, the legal proceedings will determine the outcome of the case.
