Deion Sanders, the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, has secured a significant addition to his team’s roster. Jordan Seaton, a highly-rated offensive tackle recruit, has decided to join the Buffaloes, further strengthening the team’s pass protection.
Seaton, who is considered the nation’s top offensive tackle prospect, has been rated as the 11th best overall prospect in his class, regardless of position. Despite being from Washington, Seaton spent his senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Initially, there were rumors that Seaton might choose Maryland, which is closer to his home in the nation’s capital. However, he eventually announced on social media that he would be joining the Colorado Buffaloes. The Buffaloes confirmed his signing shortly after.
Coach Sanders and the Buffaloes have been focusing on improving their offensive line, as they prepare to transition from the Pac-12 to the Big 12. In the previous season, the Buffaloes struggled, finishing with a 4-8 record and experiencing six consecutive losses.
One of the main concerns for the Buffaloes has been their poor performance in terms of pass protection. During the season, they allowed a staggering 56 sacks, which was the highest number among Football Bowl Subdivision programs. Old Dominion was the only other team to allow more sacks.
By securing the commitment of Jordan Seaton, the Colorado Buffaloes have taken a significant step towards addressing their pass protection issues. Seaton’s addition to the team is expected to have a positive impact on the Buffaloes’ performance in the upcoming season.
