Hogwarts Legacy Sells 22 Million Copies in 2023, Warner Bros. Teases More Harry Potter Games

In the year 2023, the Harry Potter spinoff game, Hogwarts Legacy, managed to sell a staggering 22 million copies. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president, David Haddad, confirmed these numbers to Variety. The game, which was released on February 10 for most platforms, had around 2 million copies sold during the December holiday season alone. Haddad referred to it as the ‘best-selling game of the year in the entire industry worldwide’. The game has been played for a total of 707 million hours, with players making 819 million potions, plucking 1.3 billion plants, saving 593 million beasts, and defeating nearly 5 billion evil wizards. Warner Bros. also announced plans for more Harry Potter games, including a Quidditch experience and ‘a series of other things’ set in that universe.
