Helldivers II: Addressing Game Issues and Offering Rewards to Players

Helldivers II, the latest installment in the Helldivers series, has been met with a mix of excitement and frustration from players since its launch earlier this month. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, the game has faced several issues, including disconnections, matchmaking problems, and a bug that prevented some players from earning rewards after a mission. In response to these issues, Arrowhead Studios has announced temporary measures to alleviate the rewards problem and ensure that all players can progress in the game.

The bug, which prevented some players from earning rewards after a mission, has been a significant source of frustration for many Helldivers II players. In an effort to address this issue, Arrowhead Studios has announced that players will receive 50% extra XP and Requisition until the end of the day on Sunday in Central European Time. This boost will apply to all players, not just those affected by the bug.

To take advantage of the surge in rewards, players should look for a Game Master Effect called “Accounting Corrections” while in the Super Destroyer. This effect will help ensure that players receive the XP and Requisition they’ve earned. Arrowhead Studios Deputy Game Director, Sagar Beroshi, thanked the Helldivers II community for its support and patience as the team works on a permanent fix for the issue.

Helldivers II is not the first game to face issues after launch. Matchmaking problems have also been reported by some players, making it difficult to join games or party up with friends. Arrowhead Studios community manager, Katherine “Baskinator” Baskin, has confirmed that matchmaking is currently unusable, but players can still party up with their friends. The team is working on a fix for the issue.

Another issue that has affected some players is disconnections during gameplay. These disconnections can result in lost progress and rewards, adding to the frustration for players. Arrowhead Studios has not yet announced a solution for this issue, but players can try closing and reopening the game to see if that helps.

Despite these issues, Helldivers II has received positive reviews for its addictive gameplay and cooperative multiplayer mode. Players can take advantage of the XP boost to level up their characters and unlock new weapons and abilities. The game’s humor and fast-paced action have also been praised by critics and players alike.

I’ve been level 9 for 3 days in a row now cause every night I fire it up, I get a few disconnects, and then move on to something else. The game worked better for me before the patch. Got to level 9 pretty easily. Last night I switched over to the FF7 Rebirth demo.

Had some mild issues playing on PC with one hard crash that affected my entire party when we were extracting. Other than that it’s been stable and I even was able to crossplay with a buddy on PS5, I guess everyone’s mileage may vary. Really pleased with the game! Addicting

I guess I’ve been pretty luck not getting disconnected. I haven’t experienced it yet. There have been times trying to join friends doesn’t want to work sometimes but, closing the game and starting it again seems to fix that. I play on PS5

Matchmaking has been a bit of a choppy mess until yesterday. I got an update that seems to have fixed things. The game is fun as hell when it works.

I’d have rathered they gave each player an xp boost to use when they can.

My friend couldn’t get through the main menu, “Failed to create lobby – Contact support if problem persists”

Crossplay is borked, have to disable it to get about 80% stable games. Still getting DCed during missions.

I love this game, but it is so broken right now.
