Blizzard Teases Patch 1.2.1 for Diablo 4 Season of Blood

2 min read

Blizzard has already started teasing the upcoming patch 1.2.1 for Diablo 4, even before the release of the Season of Blood patch. Patch 1.2.0, which kicks off the Season of Blood, is highly anticipated by players, as it brings numerous quality of life changes and tweaks to damage mechanics and underlying systems, along with new content for Season 2. However, Blizzard has confirmed that patch 1.2.1 will follow shortly after, with an expected release by the end of October, around two weeks after patch 1.2.0.

Although patch 1.2.1 is not expected to be as large as the patch that starts the new season, it will introduce two significant features. The first feature is the addition of a training dummy, something that players have been eagerly awaiting. The training dummy will be located in a cellar in Kyovashad and will allow players to test their character’s power against different enemy types and bosses. Players will also be able to spawn multiple training dummies and adjust their difficulty or rank, such as elite status.

In addition to the training dummy, patch 1.2.1 will also introduce the option to reset the entirety of a character’s Paragon Board. This is a much-requested feature since the launch of the game. However, Blizzard has not revealed the cost of each reset, as currently players have to spend a certain amount of Gold to refund each node. It remains to be seen whether a flat reset fee for the entire board will be implemented.

All attention is currently focused on the upcoming launch of the Season of Blood and patch 1.2.0 on October 17. However, players can already look forward to the subsequent patch 1.2.1, which will bring the long-awaited training dummy and a character Paragon Board reset option to Diablo 4.
