U.S. Senators Pledge Support for Israel Amid Ongoing Conflict with Hamas

In recent developments, Israeli Minister of Intelligence Gila Gamliel has issued a stark warning, comparing Hamas’ treatment of civilians to actions even more severe than those of ISIS. Meanwhile, two prominent U.S. senators, Ben Cardin, a Democrat from Maryland and Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Jim Risch, a Republican from Idaho and Ranking Member of the same committee, are set to introduce a bipartisan resolution expressing unwavering support for Israel. This move comes as Israel faces ongoing challenges in its struggle against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

The senators made a joint statement in which they not only condemned the “devastating attacks against Israel” but also expressed their firm commitment to Israel’s security. This resolution, which enjoys broad bipartisan support, is a clear testament to the close alliance between the United States and Israel. However, its voting in the House of Representatives is currently on hold pending the election of a new speaker.

The catalyst for this resolution was the heinous attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7. Tragically, over 700 residents fell victim to their violence, with 260 of them attending a music festival.
