Unistellar Launches New Smart Telescopes at CES 2024 for Hassle-Free Backyard Astronomy
1 min readUnistellar, a French telescope company, has introduced two new models, the Odyssey and Odyssey Pro, at CES 2024. These smart telescopes are designed to simplify backyard astronomy by focusing on both nearby and distant objects using Multi-Depth technology. They also feature new Nikon optics and an updated smartphone app for easy alignment, focusing, and target identification.
The Odyssey and Odyssey Pro use full sensor resolution for close-in objects and combine pixels for dim, larger objects to enhance light gathering. They work effectively in light-polluted areas due to their high-sensitivity sensor and smart image processing. Unistellar’s latest smart telescopes offer a new generation of powerful and user-friendly astronomy tools for stargazing enthusiasts.
The new app suggests targets for observation and provides context about each body. Both telescopes have new optical tubes with Nikon optics and an autofocus system for consistently sharp images. The Odyssey is priced at $2,499, while the Odyssey Pro costs $3,999, and a special edition Odyssey Pro Red Edition is available for $4,499.
Unistellar is showcasing these new smart telescopes at CES 2024, which runs from January 6-12 in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for more updates from the event.
