Unreal Gold Remastered in Unreal Engine 5

1 min read

Yesterday, DSOGaming reported about an unofficial remaster of Deus Ex in Unreal Engine 5. Today, DXU24 shared a video showcasing a remastered version of Unreal Gold in Unreal Engine 5. The project is still in its early development stage and currently suffers from stutters and glitches. The creator plans to improve and polish the game.

The Unreal Gold remaster keeps the same cool look as the original game, with the modder using the original art assets. The use of Unreal Engine 5 allows for better textures and lighting. DXU24’s main focus is to bring the classic Deus Ex to Unreal Engine 5 with VR support, but other UE games may also benefit from the project.

It’s important to note that this mod is not related to Unreal Redux, which promises to feature numerous Quality of Life improvements and new features while staying true to its classic roots and not upgrading the game’s engine to UE5.

Additionally, there are other Unreal-related mods worth checking out, such as the Unreal Engine 4 Prototype Demo, which features seven maps from the original game, and UnrealHD v3.0, which overhauls all classic Unreal & Unreal Tournament skins.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!
