The Humane AI Pin, a groundbreaking wearable device, is expected to start shipping in March. This innovative screen-less accessory, designed to replace smartphones, has been developed by Humane, a company founded by former Apple employees, Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri. The founders believe that the smartphone era has reached its peak, and it’s time to explore new opportunities in the realm of AI-powered wearables.

Humane’s vision for the future is centered around the AI Pin, which relies on voice cues and a projector to display relevant information onto the user’s hand. This device focuses on privacy and contextual intelligence, enabling it to quickly understand the user’s needs and connect them to the appropriate AI experience or service instantly. The AI Pin has formed strategic partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft, and Tidal, providing access to some of the world’s most powerful AI models and platforms.

The AI Pin operates on a quad-core Snapdragon processor with a dedicated Qualcomm AI Engine, running on the Cosmos OS software. It is available in three color options: Eclipse (matte black on black), Lunar (polished chrome on white), and Equinox (polished chrome on black). The Eclipse model costs $699, while the Lunar and Equinox models are priced at $799.

In addition to the Eclipse model, buyers must pay a monthly fee of $24 to access the AI Pin’s cellular data, which is built as an MVNO on top of T-Mobile’s network. Humane has announced that the remaining orders will be processed in the order they were received, and they expect current orders to be shipped out soon.

The Humane AI Pin is now available for pre-order on Humane’s website. Interested customers can secure their device and choose their preferred color option.
