Davante Adams Expresses Frustration with Role in Raiders Offense

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams recently voiced his frustration with his role in the team’s offense. Despite the Raiders winning two straight games, Adams has expressed disappointment with his seemingly diminished role and lack of production.

In an interview, Adams stated, “I’m a human being and I have extremely high standards for myself in this offense.” He has been targeted just nine times in the past two games, resulting in six catches for 74 yards and no touchdowns. Adams emphasized that his main goal is not just to win games, but to achieve greatness and have a significant impact on the game.

The star receiver has not scored a touchdown since Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which he had 13 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns. He is also dealing with a right shoulder injury sustained in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Adams expressed frustration with not being a prominent part of the offensive game plan. He believes that his abilities can contribute to a better performance, and when that doesn’t happen, he becomes frustrated. Adams stated, “It’s not about me, but I’m one of the bigger pieces as to why this offense is going to go. And if I’m not getting it, then that’s obviously not according to plan.”

Raiders coach Josh McDaniels echoed Adams’ frustrations, emphasizing that great players like Adams want to contribute as much as they can to help the team win. McDaniels acknowledged Adams’ leadership and influence on the team and stressed the importance of allowing their best players to impact the game.
